Have you ever seen this photo?
It was taken in Nagasaki during the Greater East Asia War (the World War II) after the atomic bombing.

Can you guess what this boy was doing?
A young Japanese boy was standing in line at a crematorium with his dead younger brother on his back.
The young boy endured his sadness by biting his lips, which are oozing blood.
According to the photographer who took this photo, the boy never cried, but he was staring at the fire intently while biting his lips during the cremation and left silently.

No country should use nuclear weapons in order to avoid creating the same photo of a broken-hearted boy.
All countries must give up weapons of mass destruction so children will always have a smile on their faces.
Publicly available information says there are over 13,400 nuclear weapons on earth as of January, 2020.

We hope the fire in Hiroshima (see the photo above) will go out after all the nuclear weapons on earth are disposed of; furthermore, we sincerely hope it will come true in our generation.

この写真を撮ったカメラマンによると、少年は決して泣かず、火葬の間、ただ唇を噛み締め、じっと火を見つめ、終わると静かに去っていったということです。

この写真のような悲嘆に暮れた少年を二度と作り出さないように、どの国も核兵器の使用を自粛すべきでしょう。
全ての国は、子供がいつも笑顔でいられるように、大量殺戮兵器を放棄しましょう。
公表されているデータによると、2020年1月の時点で、地球上に13,400個以上の核兵器があります。

地球上の全核兵器が処分され、広島の火（上記写真参照）が、消えることを願っています。
それが、私たちの世代に実現することを願ってやみません。
