Hidden beauty of Haori/羽織の隠れた美

Have you ever seen male kimono?
It includes of a jacket called Haori and trousers called Hakama.
In general, the colors of the men’s kimono are subdued such as dark blue, black and gray.

Surprisingly enough, the design inside Haori is gorgeous even though this is not a top.
Way back the Edo period (1600-1868), the government forbade spending money for luxurious items including kimono.
So, the people designed their Haori this way and enjoyed fashion.
