In 1992, Mr. Kamichika, CEO of Nagasaki Holland Village, opened a special park based on the Netherlands in Sasebo, Nagasaki.
That’s Huis Ten Bosch.

It costs over 200 billion JPY because they opted for an eco-friendly water circulation system and imported genuine Dutch bricks.

This Theme Park has been experiencing a decline in visitor numbers.  
Please compare 3 million in Huis Ten Bosch with 30 million in Tokyo Disney Resort (yearly visitor numbers in 2019 before the pandemic).

We have some happy news.
On June 21,2025, it opened a new area, named Miffy Wonder Square. 

The target is families and young girls who like the Dutch cute rabbit icon, Miffy.　
Many families enjoy those attractions. 

At night, fireworks are so gorgeous that we can’t leave.
Don’t worry, we can stay inside the park.

There are five hotels in the park: Hotel Europe Huis Ten Bosch; Hotel Amsterdam Huis Ten Bosch; Hotel Den Haag Huis Ten Bosch; Hotel Rotterdam Huis Ten Bosch; and Forest Villa Huis Ten Bosch.
Every hotel has its original flower demonstration.

I recommend the Forest Villa.  
This villa is the best for families and friends.  
There are two bedrooms on the second floor and a spacious living room on the first floor facing the canal.

We can spend an enjoyable time with family members or friends in this villa. 

The minimum room rate is 8,000 JPY per person when you share a room with three other people. It does not include meals.
