Moji used to be one of the largest trading ports in Kyushu, Japan’s southernmost island. Afterward, the transportation system changed from ships to air and surface.
Now, Mojiko was reborn as Mojiko Retro, where some iconic structures were built, including the Premier Hotel Mojiko.
Famous Italian architect Mr. Aldo Rossi designed this hotel.
It is named “A shark in Moji” by him because of its unique exterior.
The guest rooms are a bit old and nostalgic, but comfortable. We can see the Mojiko Retro area or the Kanmon Channel from the windows of our guest rooms.
Restaurants are all good. Especially breakfast is gorgeous.
