Someone says that  the U.S. attacked Japan with the atomic bomb because Japan attacked at the Pearl Harbor. 

Japan attacked at battleships in the Pearl Harbor,  while the victims in Hiroshima and Nagasaki  were mostly non-combatant casualties like women, children and the elderly.
Which has justice?

The second atomic bomb was detonated in Nagasaki at 11:02 a.m. on August 9th, 1945.
During that time, Urakami Cathedral, which was located 500 meters northeast of the epicenter of the Nagasaki atomic bomb blast, had the ceremony of confession and all the Christians were dead.

Sanno Shrine, which  was located 800 meters southeast of the epicenter of the Nagasaki atomic bomb blast, had also terribly destroyed.
The main hall was burnt and two out of four Torii gates were gone. 
Half of the second Trii gate was miraculously survived.

A pair of camphor trees, located along the front approach, was also critically damaged by not only its blast and heat but also flying stones and metals.
Luckily, a few years later, the new sprouts started growing.
We could imagine how its sprouts made the local encouraged.
Now, they grow like this below.

参道にある一対の楠も爆風や熱だけでなく、飛んできた石や金属によって甚大な被害を受けました。
幸いにも、数年後、新芽が芽吹きました。
この新芽がどれだけ地元の方々を勇気づけたか想像できますね。
今、楠木は、こんなに立派に成長しています。
